Improper fractions to mixed numbers

1. Divide the numerator by the denominator to obtain the whole -number part.
2. The reminder over the divisor is the fractional part

• The number \(-1\frac12\) is between -1 and -2.
• The number \(-\frac18\) is less than 0.
• Expressed as a mixed number, \(\frac{13}{5} = 2\frac35\)
