Nuclear structures — embedding material

Explanation

All nuclear structures — including the chromosomes, nucleolus, and chromatin — are embedded in a viscous colloidal material called nucleoplasm. It is the nuclear equivalent of the cytoplasm found in the rest of the cell. The nucleoplasm provides the medium in which nuclear activities take place.
