Software Failures and System Context

publish date: 2026/10/01 20:12:46.478000 UTC

Why are many perceived software failures actually system engineering failures?

Operating systems fail to manage underlying hardware drivers correctly.

Software changes are frequently requested to compensate for modified physical or system requirements.

Software is inherently rigid and cannot adapt to hardware limits.

Software layers are completely separated from hardware components.
